For us at Fundana, cooking is Art! Beyond mere nourishment, a meal is wonderful entertainment, and with great company and good appetite a holiday atmosphere is guaranteed! One of the most essential ingredients in the Fundana kitchen is our virgin olive oil, a product of the 500 olive trees on our estate. And every morning we purchase fresh products from local producers at the Corfiot market, ensuring our meals are delicious and nutritious.
Your Kalimera (Good day) starts with a rich buffet breakfast, where you will taste the Corfiot speciality kumquat marmalade, the local graviera cheese, and so many other unique products.
On hot summer nights in our cosy taverna, with a soft breeze and beautiful views, you will enjoy the finest Corfiot cuisine, such as the majestic “rooster pastitsada”, the spicy “sofrito”, the “bourdeto” as well as other traditional dishes. Your dinner will be accompanied by our aromatic wines from the grapes of our pergolas, or the dry white wine “Kakotrygis” from the Chalikounas region of southern Corfu.
